Now changed to Soleil Hotel Peniche. Surely to give it a more internacional name.
At the swimming pool be ready to take swimming cap if you use indoor pool. It's mandatory. Not for the outside pool though. Which makes sense, after all, the seagulls use it and I didn't see a single one with a cap. And I'm sure they pooped in the pool too.
The indoor pool is really good for the non-summer season and cold days, as water reaches a nice 25º. Peniche is known to be a windy town.
Almost everything here is payed: the billards, the internet and even swimming cap if you don't have one. Well... there's always the room's shower cap. Looks ridiculous but it might do the trick...
The breakfast is ok but nothing special. The mushrooms tasted raw and the scrambled eggs out of the freezer into the microwave. The sweets however were nice.
It is well located but you really need a car. Too far walk to downtown and the marina where the nice restaurants are.
The hotel parking is Big and free! About the only thing free...
The room is spacious and the bed wide enough to host a family or land a small plane.
The balcony is very relaxing and invites us to read, catch the sun or see the seagull show at the pool.
Front desk people (Joana and Rui) were very friendly and helped in every question we made.
